Evening Walk from Sheriff Hutton, 5-6 miles. Regulations permitting!

A circular walk via Cornlands Manor starting from the Highwayman in Sheriff Hutton starting promptly at 6pm. Please be there by 5.50. If the rules and the weather allow there may be a meal afterwards. It is essential that you tell Anne Bednarski if you are coming. (01904 764086 )

York Walls Festival

The RFS will be taking part in the festival again. Details are thin on the ground to date, but will include a gazebo next to Majestic Wines and a selection of guided walks led by local experts.

The Society will be running a stall as part of the festival showing what its aims and activities are.

We'll be running a gazebo showing what we do on Foss Islands Road - come and have a chat. A group of paddleboarders will be setting off from near Monk Bridge at 11 am and will sail down to Castle Mills Lock  & back.      

Newton-on-Ouse – A stroll of around 3 miles,

The RFS AGM will be held at 7pm on Wednesday 11th May in Strensall Village Hall The AGM will be preceded by a talk from Nick Bielby, formally Volunteer Project Manager of the York Civic Trust, on “City Enhancement Fund Projects”. Tea and coffee will be available during the evening.
