Yorkshire Dales and Vales Rivers Trust visit to the Foss Society
8th May 2018
The Dales to Vale Rivers Network is a catchment partnership set up in 2013 which brings together local people, communities, organisations and businesses to make decisions on managing the rivers, becks and lakes in the Swale, Ure, Nidd, Ouse and Wharfe catchments. (http://dvrn.co.uk/).
They have kitted out a van with demonstration equipment which shows how a river works, and Catherine Mason and Charles Foreman will be along to give the demonstrations and explain the work of the trust.
Huntington All Saints Church car park, starting at 6.30pm. The van is not large, so numbers are limited and it is for members only: booking is essential. Contact Mike Gray on 01904 758510 or via firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Blacksmith’s Arms is but a couple of hundred yards away for those who wish to continue the discussions!
