Yorkshire Waterways Museum’s boat trip from Goole to Thorne.
18th September 2017 -
The RFS has had a number of previous trips on the broadbeam “Waterstart”. This visit will start at YWM’s Museum in Goole and travel west along the Aire & Calder Navigation before turning south west onto the New Junction Canal and then east onto the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation as far as Thorne. The YWM’s minibus will take members back to Goole. The trip will start at 10.00 or 10.30 and should be back in Goole about 16.30/17.00. A minimum of 10 members will be required and a maximum of 12 can be accepted. YWM can provide a buffet lunch and the usual DIY tea and coffee will be available. There is a toilet on board. Early “expressions of interest” would be appreciated as this is a publicly advertised trip that could be reserved solely for the RFS. Peter Hopwood will provide more information to those “expressing interest” as soon as enough interest has been indicated to make the trip viable and details are settled.
